Jack Fabrique started Excel Building Services with his wife Jennifer in 1995 in the San Francisco Bay area. Jack has over 30 years of experience in the janitorial field, specializing in corporate class A office buildings and campuses, as well as big box retailers. Under the leadership of Mr. Fabrique, Excel Building Services has grown from one state to having business in all 50 states with major Fortune 500 companies. He is still involved in the continued growth of the company, operations, quality control, and financial review. The company is still family-owned, operating on its core values of trust, commitment, care, and attitude. Our strengths still lie in our continued commitment to our employees and customers.
Chief Executive Officer
Jenn’s first role with Excel was establishing the corporate structure and identity. For the first 8 years, Jenn was the sole accountant, human resource manager, office manager, payroll manager, contract administrator, financial advisor, and operations administrator. In 2003, the customer base started to rapidly expand, leading Excel to hire a full-time accountant and two office administrators, though Jenn continued to handle Accounts Receivable. As Excel grew, Jenn’s role developed into Managing Director as well as Executive Officer overseeing all departments.
Chief Financial Officer
Steve Sui joined Excel as their Chief Financial Officer in 2007, bringing 33 years of experience to the team. He is responsible for all Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Capital Management matters. Prior to Excel, he worked as a CPA with a firm in San Francisco that worked with various companies and industries ranging from large multinational companies to locally service based companies.
Steve’s wide ranging business experience adds to the team and provides sound decision making for all aspects of Excel business.
Chief Operating Officer
Scott Henley is the Chief Operating Officer for Excel Building Services. Scott joined the Excel family in 2012 as VP of Operations. Scott developed and built the Vendor Managed Division at Excel, which now services over 1,800 locations nationally.
Scott brings more than 20 years of experience in Facilities Management. Scott studied Business Management at both Augusta College, where he played baseball, and then at Georgia State University. Scott has been involved with both PRISM and ISSA for over 20 years. Scott resides in Fayetteville, Georgia and is married to wife Amy, and they have 2 children.
VP of Business Development
Arturo Ramos, a native of Jalisco, Mexico, originally started off studying law at the University of Guadalajara. For the past 27 years he has worked as a business developer in the janitorial industry and is currently the Vice President of Business Development for Excel Building Services. In this role he oversees proposal preparation, scope of work development, and special operations for some of Excel’s largest clients. Arturo specializes in streamlined and innovative solutions for warehouses and distribution centers.
Arturo has amassed an exceptionally loyal clientele thanks to his enthusiasm and energy. Referrals and repeat business form the foundation of his career. In fact, over the years Arturo has flown and driven over 80,000 miles in all kinds of weather, bringing a personal touch to every client he onboards.
Vice President of Operations
Tim Hearington is VP of Operations for Excel Building Services. He joined Excel in 2015 after serving tenures with several national facility management service providers. He has been in the field of facilities design, construction, and management for over 30 years with the last 10 years focused on national janitorial services.
Tim’s experience in facility management spans from design, construction, implementation, and operation. Trained as an architect, Tim studied architectural engineering technology at Georgia Tech with an emphasis on construction and design. He has participated in several industry building and environmental training programs including LEED building certification and GBCI green building operations.
Vice President of Operations
Joe Persico is the VP of Operations in our Vendor Manage Division at Excel Building Services. He manages all accounts which include TJX, Ross, Burlington, and Toys R US. Joe has 20 years of experience in the vendor-managed janitorial industry. He has worked for several national facility management companies and has been with Excel since 2016.
Joe has worked his way up through the industry starting as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, Director Of Operations, Corporate Account Manager, to VP of Operations. He has participated in many team building and industry training programs across the country. As well Joe has helped develop employee training, vendor training, and customer relationship building programs for all types of facility management services.
Robert Bertuglia III
Vice President of Operations
Robert Bertuglia is the Vice President of Operations at Excel Building Services and is responsible for all aspects of our self-perform division. As part of the Excel executive team, his responsibility is ensuring we provide excellent customer service, managing Excel’s employees, and securing the highest caliber team in the industry.
Robert brings 25 years experience managing service lines in National Janitorial, Landscaping, Snow Removal, Construction, and HVAC. Starting his career in the industry on the front lines, he has the direct experience that gives him the knowledge to help lead our team to success. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Management from Dowling College. Robert is based in the greater New York area and travels throughout the United States.
He is married to Alanna and they have two children. In his free time Robert enjoys time with the family and coaching soccer.
